Unhappy PS2 games won't boot.

Hi.
I have a big problem. A few days ago I bought PS2 SCPH-39004
and yesterday I installed the messiah 2. The problem is, that when I insert the the DVD game eg. Vice city, the loading stops or at the screen "Playstation 2" or at the main screen with the browser even if I reset the machine. I also tried WRC 2 but the same. Can you help me? There is a trick for the chip to work?
Thank you very much!

Just did my first one 5 days ago. Check all your solder points with a bright light and magnifying glass. Make sure none of them are bridged or touching the other nearby spots. I took mine apart and checked and rechecked 8-12 times until I got it working. Persistance pays off. Good luck.
