Question Plug in Mod

Hi everyone! I've been comming here off and on and love this site for my backups!

But, now i've ran into a situation. I have an old playstation (the gray, square one). And it won't play my back ups. I went to modchip.com to look for a mod chip for it. They have a plug in one, but i'm not sure if they are reliable and if it will actually permit me to play my back ups. Could some one please advise this nervous soldier?

Oops....I forgot to also ask, "If I make an exact duplicate of my game, it should work with the plug in mod also, right?"
I also think thank link is for a mod for a PS1. I have an older playstation, dude. Plust I'd prefer not to have to soder.
Also, If more people have ideas. Please do respond.

Wow! Yeah that's the one i'm interested in. 22 bucks....that's a good deal. So they are no BS. They will actually ship it and give support on it also?

yea , that mod is great . my friend really likes it, he hasnt had a single problem out of it. its a lot better than trying to solder those lil wires in place (big pain) . if there is any problems with it you have full support from them.

Do I still need to make a boot disk or does the back up copy of the game work alone with the mod plug in chip?

nope you dont need a boot disc works only with the plug in mod . it will be like putting in a regular psx game and booting up.

How do I make a PS boot disk? I got the plug in mod and it's plugged into the back of the ps. It won't let me choose any options. the screen just freezes when it turns on.
