Burn the CD Disk At Once (DAO) or select the Option to Finalize CD.

Today, most dvd home systems are heavily protected ............can ur unit read cd-r? I suppose most dvd systems reads atip data...then it will detect if it's a silver cd (pressed) or an original one (burned).
I have a samsung dvd home and a samsumg HIFI system....With my plextor 24x and toasting in RAW-DAO mode finalizing the cd the HIFI system reads and plays with no problem the home audio cd but my dvd home doesn't....Don't try it.........think it's lost time!.....

May i be wrong!!!!

Check the manual for your sony dvd player. In the first five pages it should tell you what kind of discs it can play back. its very likely that it cannot play cd-r's or cd-rw's, as most early dvd players could not. Mine couldnt
