what clone cd settings are required to copy r.t.c.w. which has the game protection demo checks

Nothing special needed. RTCW has no disc protection (certainly not on my cd!)

Demo checks in this case would appear to be an online check if you try and play via internet.

I agree with crispy on this one,RTCW has no protection the thing to watch out for though is the serial number when playing on-line.They're making a big issue out of this with IP's getting logged if caught using 'dodgy' serials.
Ok if you're playing single-player but a different story in multi-player.
