laser calibrate

I have recently bought a new laser for my v4 ps2 (magic 3)
but some games takes ages to load and some not at all inc fifa 2003 original dvd game, i have been told that the eye needs to be adjusted can, anyone tell me how.
my last laser that was playing up i had adjusted and the white plastic adjuster cog was moved does anyone know where that has to be ??

I only messed with it because a so called mate at work told me it was the right thing to do !!
i bet he does'nt mess with his like i did ??

Make the PS2 absolutely level. Get a small spirit leve and put it on the rails that are adjusted by the white cog. Move the white cog until the rails are absolutely level. That should do the trick.

Your so called mate at work also messed with his laser and broke it! Bet you had a right laugh at that eh? But when your so called mate got his new laser that you ordered for him, he fitted it and it worked straight away! Oh well children will play eh Taffio?

In case you didn't guess i am that mate at work and I too broke my laser exactly the same way after having a good old laugh and a sarcastic comment in the forum at Taffio's expense. A big plate of humble pie waiter please!
