FOLLOW UP- I got RecordNow Max. I really like this program much better than Nero. I did a backup of EA Sports Madden 2003 and it burned fine. This is on my P4 1.8ghz 512mb, w/Liteon DVD ROM and a Cendyne DVR-105 running XP home, zero problems. I am using Fujifilm DVD-R media. One thing i couldnt figure out is, in the tutorial it said to shut of the Auto Insert Notification, i couldnt find an option to shut that off anywhere?

Start up app, then go to tools > Options.

On the first tab (general) make sure that autorunshield is enabled. This is second from bottom.

That will stop it for that program only,
If you want to turn it off completly under windows xp it's a bit more difficult.

2 steps > Either, in my computer highlight the drive, right click select properties. Then under the autoplay tab select NO ACTION for each of the functions listed (ie, music files, pictures)

Thats one way which prevents it but to completly turn it off (ONLY DO IF YOU ARE HAPPY DOING) do below

Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE) through start menu > then run.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Cdrom.

Double-click the Autorun value, and type 0 for its value. (If it's not there, create it by selecting Edit -> New -> DWORD Value, and typing "Autorun" for its name.)

Then restart your machine. This turns off the annoying windows xp (lets check for a new disk) so you will have to hit refresh for windows to recognise a new disk in explorer.

Or you can just install clone cd and turn it off through the menus on that. That basically does the above for you

Why do i always remember the easy way after???
