urgent HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

hello guys...i need some help.....look...i live in greece and about a week ago i rented a dvd region 1 dvd movie from the videoclub so i thought that the only thing i had to do was to change the key i had found in registry(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Win dows\CurrentVersion) and change the value that it had from 2 to 1...and so i did,everything went fine and after watching the movie i turned again the value from 1 to 2 (the original setting)...Today,i tried watching a dvd region 2 movie but the only way i could watch it was by using dvd region free(in my own region!!)and that's because i got an error from power dvd telling me that my dvd rom was from dvd region 1!!!i thought that something must had gone wrong when i chengewd the value for second time so i checked it and the value was 2....!!!!wtf is going on here...i tried reinstalling the windows,power dvd but nothing is happening...still reporting that i have a dvd region 1 dvd rom...is it possible that the region of my dvd has changed(isn't this a hardware setting???????)

please tell me what to do...the last thing i think of doing is to disconnect my dvd rom operate the pc and then turn it off,reconnect it again and see what happens....do you have any easier solution?

vaguely remember something about hardware locking region codes after so many uses. the region of your dvd (the disc) couldnt change
