my lad has locked up parental control on ps2 and does not no what he put in is there a way to undo this ?

most common code is 1234

try classic combinations 0000 although make a search cause i ve seen somewere a combination of keys held that remove parental control.

Okidoki!
Follow these steps dude,
1) When it asks for password enter 7444
2) Screen will display invalid password
3) Re enter password screen then press SELECT then 7444

And that should work! Make sure you put a new password in straight after and turn parental lock off.
