No Solder mod for v5 ps2 can it play Verbatim DVD+r disks no prob?

For a v5 it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure your boot disc has a larger TOC than the game you are booting. You can not use CloneCD for dvds. CloneCD only supports cdr. They are working on a CloneDVD program. For cd based PS2 games(blue backs) use CloneCD, for dvd games use RecordNow Max or PrimoDVD. Nero also works but it can have some problems with some games.
