Hitman 2 No CD exe v1.1

I'm having trouble with no cd exe file for Hitman 2- when I launch the game I get no sound- I executed the crack as well. I tried uninstalling the game and re-installing it and launched with the CD and I had sound again. Once I tried the no cd.exe file I got no sound again. In the menu for the game I can't even go to the options for sound it's grayed out. Anyone else have this problem?

I know this will sound stupid, but when you put in the no cd, it sometimes cancels the sound, just go into the audio options in the game and crank up the sound. it did the same thing with me..

I know that problem.
The only way for me to run the game (german version) is to use the german no-cd crack for version 1.01 while actually not having updated the game with the official patch. That solves some other problems, but i don´t have sound then. I, too, cannot go into the sound menu in the game.
So, knowing that using the crack for 1.01 while not having updated the game causes the exact problems you have, this might be the solution:
Make sure, you have updated the game. I don´t know about other localized versions of the game, but the official german patch is a dos-prompt which does not give you any feedback about whether the patching worked or not. So check the "last changed" date of your hitman2.exe before you replace it with the one from the executable archive (crack). I hope that was your problem!


I´ll post what happens when I run the updated game with the no-cd crack in another thread, cause it´s a different problem.
