DVD Data backup (HELP)

Hi All

I am trying to back up data to a DVD(R) using Nero 5.5.9.9.
I have a Pioneer DVR 104 which worked fine a couple of months ago. I have now tried to do exactly the same but get an error message "BLANK CHECK COMMAND ERROR"

I have tried everything from reinstalling software to re-formatting my HDD.

Any help would go down a treat.
