Sims deluxe edition

Sims can be copied successfully using CloneCD version 4.2.0.2
Read image to file and select protected PC game.

Yes I agree.
The drive I used to read and burn was a PleXwriter 40/12/40a

I have been trying everything I can find and have made 6 coasters. I have every software and tool suggested on every forum I can find links to. Finally, I got a back-up to play successfully, HOWEVER, it won't work on my other PC that doesn't have a burner.

I am burning a back-up as I type this with CloneCD v4.2.0.2 on a PleXWriter 24/10/40A. Will be finished in another 45 minutes then I'll post my results.

I tryed everything also and no luck at all... 8(... I used all tools and my burner is a HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B...

Do you need the original disk to do this? Since I stepped on my original and only got back ups that don't work.

Well it didn't work What settings am I missing? I just run the program with Game CD option. Seems there has to be some sort of settings I am missing.

What do you mean by "select protected PC game?" Is that some new option somewhere?

I read image from original CD to HD with latest version of CloneCD, then I write that image onto a CD-R. It takes about an hour to write it, yet still it isn't working as a perfect original copy.

I must admit, though, I had no idea there was so much involved in making a raw data perfect original.

hey ANIMALTASTIC, since ur new to this we'll let it slip, but next time turn off your caps lock.

What version SD2 is Sims dlx? I don't think it's 2.8 as that's Unleashed. Which means we've been able to do it for yonks. So this post is nothing special.

Does your backup work in other cd drives not jusdt the burner though.
