LOTR Crashes Kernel (<- What does the black dot on the envelope mean?)

I'm trying to play the game from my backup CD, I've tried all 3 fixed-exe/no CD patches from gamecopyworld.com and every one of them gives me a GPF (General Protection Fault) in the Kernel32.dll when I try to run it. Please tell me I am doing something wrong.

Does it play from your originals without the crack ? If it doesn't, you probably have a driver problem. Assuming that it does, make sure you're using the right version crack for the right game version. Which crack did you use (link if possible) and what game version and language do you have ?
