How can you check if a messiah 2 is faulty

HI
Just want to know if thiers a way of checking a messiah 2 chip if it is faulty.
As the one i installed stopped working 'wont boot any backup`s' after about 6hrs checked and double checked wires all ok.
V7 BRAND NEW BOARD STILL READS BACKEDUP DVD FILMS.

Most likely is that a wire has become lose, check all soldering points.

As i thought took out chip replaced with another messiah 2 and BINGO BOOTS EVERY TIME.
Just hope they will replace the faulty one.
