Verbatim DVD blank discs

Hi
As anyone had any problem with Verbatim dvd+rs

I have made loads of successful dvds using infinity DVD+r discs,
just recently a bought 20 verbatim DVD+r discs and keep getting coasters. I then tried another infinity disc and this worked fine.
I have a sony DRU 120A DVD+RW/+R and I use Nero 5.5.10.

This seems rules out any hardware or software problem and points to the Verbatim dvd+rs discs.

As anybody else had the same problems.
Are verbatim discs compatible with this drive.

Cheers

I think Nero is the problem here.

People on this board swear by Verbatim dvd discs, but when using RecordNow max. Nero has some issues with certain media. Verbs being one of them, I guess.

If you want to continuw using Nero, keep the Infinities. Otherwise, switch over to RN-M.

I dont think the media is to blame. I am using Verbatim 2x DVD-R and 2.4x DVD+R and both work fine whether i burn my backups with NERO 5.5.9.17 or RecordNow MAX. Still cant get PrimoDVD to recognize the Sony DRU500A but oh well.

I use the most updated(download new version each time released) version of nero on my 104

I have over 64 legal backups of my original ps2 games on verbatim dvdr. Nero does not have an issue with verbatim. It's most likely either the ps2 or simply a bad batch of verbatim. Although i have done 100+ for myself and friends and still swear by verbatim as they cause less problems on older machines

Verbatim

All my backups are on Verbatim DVD+R and they work fine, I use Record now Max 4.50. I suggest you try burning with this software before disposing of your blank verbatims, the trial version of the software is fully functional for 30 days, try it

No.... Have had big problems with verbatim dvdr. Heard they were good so ordered ten. Got ten coasters. Two failed in mid burn ( only two out of about 200 dvdr backups) and the rest would crash in mid game. Was convinced by someone one this forum that I had got a bad batch so ordered ten more and doubled my coaster collection. My 18 month daughter now uses verbatim as mini frisbees. Try traxdata or dvdmaster. These are tops and cheaper that verbatim.

sorry to hear u have had such problems with verbatim. You may want to see if your DVD burner has a particulart problem with the verbatim media. I know that there is a pdf i can get for my sony dru6500a that says what media has been shown to work, and which ones have problems.

Maybe your problem isn't that you're using nero, but an older version of nero. Perhaps the older version dislikes Verbatims. I wouldn't know, seeing as how i don't have a DVD+R burner nor verbatim DVDs.
