Which Meida to use to burn PS@ backups with?

Im making a backup of 007 Nightfire and I have tried the Record now guide and have used DVD=RW&DVD-RW I have a Vers#1and im using the NEOchip,I have a Sony DRU burner with REcord now,Should I try Primo it says in the guides to use DVD-R and Im using -RW would this acount for my problems Thankyou.

Yeah, you probably have the best chance using dvd-r and primo to make a working back-up. Make sure you use a decent make of dvd-r as well like traxdata or DVDMaster.

It might still not work as the lasers in ps2 version 1 to 4 are badly calibrated and sometimes you need to turn the power up on them slightly to get them to read the dvd media properly.

so it could be that you are copying fine but laser is not reading.

What mod chip are you using?

What message do you get when you try and boot the dvd copy up. If you get 'Read Error' after about two minutes of ps2 trying to read dvd then its a laser problem. If game actually starts to boot then its more likely a bad copy or gash dvd media.

This is VERY possible..... V1-V4 PS2's have a HARD time reading the -RW format. Try reburning the game on a -R and see what happens.
