backing up xbox games

Do I need a dvd burner to back up my xbox games.I have cd burner is that good enough

Some xbox games can be ripped to play on cd-rw's. But if you do that, you lose pretty much all the music, most of the sound effects, and can kiss most movie files goodbye (but you can also downgrade them, but whats the point to doing that when you can keep sound files instead).
