Cd-r backups and GS help

I have an RMod along with swap magic discs. I have quite a few backup cd games and dvd rips that won't work. After reading in the forums I found out that some games don't work with the swap magic disc. I also have a GS which I believe is version 1.92 and tried to do what the post by Nightstalker stated but doesn't work for me. After I select "start game" and "without codes", I press and hold the eject button until the light turns orange, I switch the discs and it closes automatically. Then I press "x" and I get a red screen that tells me to insert a PS2 game. Could this be b/c my GS is too old? Or is it b/c of the RMod? Or is b/c I'm a moron and am doing it wrong??? PLEASE HELP, I'm an idiot but I'm determined to make this work

You are not doing the method posted by nightstalker and BG correctly, I suggest you read the method more carefully.Once the GS2 is loaded you swap it with original dvd game. You then select GAMESHARK CODES and turn on or off any code on any game, then press start, select with codes and press x to boot backup. You will see a black screen saying "updating codes" Time you see this preform the r-mod swap, tray will eject, swap dvd original with dvd-r backup, tray will close and game will boot.

Warlock, I was referring to cdr backups not dvd-r, would I still need to swap a dvd original? For the cd instructions, I didn't think you had to???

you dont, sorry i was thinking dvd-r instead of dvd rrrips, Guess i should open my eyes and read more carefully myself .In any case the rips must be under 640mb to load with a no solder mod. You would do much better to stick with direct backups.
