Plextor CD-RW

Hello, I need some help on the correct proceedure for updating a Plextor 12/10/32A burner. It is at ver 1.09 and I want to go back to 1.04.

Should the drive be master /slave &.or the only one in the system? My system is scsi, and it's the only IDE device.

Firmware update failed...

Trying to go from 1.09 back to 1.04, update said it failed. Any ideas or suggestion?
