Problem booting only DVD back up's on new V7 w/Magic3

HI,
I have installed the MAgic 3 and all CD-R backup's of PS1 games run fine 100% of the time. The original PS1 and 2 games work fine but I just can't get any PS2 backups to run in the my unit.

I bought a new PS2, new External HP 200E burner, Vertiban DVD+R's, TDK, Sony, and HP no luck with any of them. I went and bought a Sony DRU500 **NICE** and tried same with DVD-R's and still no booting luck on any of them.

I'm interested in trying to recalibrate pots to the laser but can't find the pic's or procedure.

HELP! The only other thing I was thinking of doing was to go shop around at Wal, Sam's , Gamestop, frys till I find an older version unit that may have more success with chip install. The guy I bought the chip from in Tokyo tells me the pots need adjusting.

Thanks,GRAYSON

PS2/DVD- Push reset from standby and release immediately for DVD movies and ps2 back ups.

PS1 -Push and hold reset from standby till eject purple lite come on.

I'm pretty sure that I'm getting it into PS2 mode because I try the PS1 backup's and they don't run then.

I'm pretty convinced to spending a day and money cruising around to find another PS2 version other than a 7 unit to put it into. I would like to give this another crack at tweaking the pots. BUT WHERE ARE THEY IN A V 7 ?

Go PACKERS!

Red face try this if you didnt already do

it has been said that using a higher guage wire than the thirty guage wire for the 5v and ground connectors can resolve booting problems. so you can use the 30 gauge wire for the data but use like a 22 gauge for the 5v and the ground.
