probs wiv ps2 back-ups

i have had 3 different copies of shinobi, but they always crash after u select new game.

i have a neo 2.2 with advd region x and it seems to require a double boot.

i have also had several copies of forever kingdom, they all crash and i dont know what boot it requires.
