Unhappy help with evox

dudes
first i have my modded xbox connected directley to my computers network card and wile using flashfxp and evox 1.8.458 i have no problems every time i boot the xbox i go to network and the xbox generates a new ip address i put this in to flashfxp and use the quick connect button.
every thing works fine.

however when i tried evox 1.8.2594 i loaded evox dash and booted the console i went in to the settings folder this showes ip address/ hd files etc the problem is it does not auto generate a ip address it just stayes on 0.0.0.0 however a little further down the page there is a ip address which stays the same each time i reboot. i put this address into flashfxp but will not connect.
any help would be appreciated.
sorrry if this does not make sence as i am better at explaining things verbally rather than written

p.s i have tried to create a static / fixed ip with both version but this does not work.
i am currentley downloading version 1.8.3285 i will see if this has the same problem as 1.8.2594

I finally got a chance to try out the new version. Hmm, static IP doesn't save? I doubt that this is the prob, but when you choose "static IP", you change it and then goto "Save and Exit", then reboot your xbox for the settings to take effect, right? And are you running evoX as the dashboard, or cd-rw? If it's the cd-rw, then thats probably the problem.

Anyways, how many PC's do you have hooked on your network? Routers usually assign the IP depending on what PC was turned on first.

Also, I could send you my evoX.ini if you want. The static IP is set and everything. You can see if it works with mine, and if not, then the problem has to be something else.

This new version of EvoX is so much better. Also, the readme and nfo didn't include the IGR button combo. So it's L+R+White+Black if you haven't found that out yet.

Try putting Yes for "Setup Network". I turned mine on/off, and it doesn't make a difference. I was able to connect either way. So I don't think it will change anything, but it's worth a try.

Ok, i sent you my evox.ini file and the Remote X save for it, which goes in the UDATA folder.

And when my xbox booted up, the first thing I noticed was "Matrix Inside". I own an x-ecutor v1, and it still said "Matrix".

OK, I have 2 files:

EvolutionX_beta_V1.8.3285_no_matrix_inside.rar
EvolutionX_beta_V1.8.3285.rar

Any idea what's the difference?
I tought matrix was a kind of mod-chip?
(I have ordered an X-ecuter2 Lite)

THX

In the new version of evolutionX, it says "Matrix Inside" at the xbox logo screen. The one that says no_matrix_inside.rar must be another version, without the "matrix inside" words.

hi quall999
tried your .ini file unfortunatley made no difference i can set a static ip but i can not connect to it with flashfxp.
when i want to access the xbox hard drive i have to revert back to evox version 1.8.485 have tried 3 other versions including the newest 1.8.3285 . have 2 version of this. one version i have to load the dash in manually the other is over 600 mb in size and outo installs strait from the cd-rw. but these still do not auto generate the ip. the only way i can connect at the moment is using 1.8.485 as this version does auto generate the ip and works fine.

dude this realy has me p****d off
thanks for the help anyway
later dude
