Brand new and need help

hi all im new so please excuse my noobish question.....i have a toshiba dvd rom and a sony dvd burner ......my question is what steps do i need to take to make backups/copy my xbox games...
any link or step by step instructions would be appreciated,oh i already have my mod chip on order
