ok ive tried dvdxcopy and i have xp pro and guess what everything works great until you get to the burn bit it then crashes and closes down so any ideas what i can do now?

ok i used dvdxcopy to make a backup of my dvd goldmember i went through all the process and it burnt the files on dvd-rs but when i placed then in my stand alone dvd player it was coming up disk error what have i done wrong?
