NOLF2 stuck on "Loading" Screen
I've used the search option many times, but I have yet to find a definitive way to get past my problem. I used Clonecd and NOLF2 installed fine and the game starts fine, but it will not allow me to start a new game. It just sits on the "Loading" screen forever. I know the load times are pretty long, but I have let it sit for an hour and it still doesn't start up. I've tried installing the official patches and/or nocd patches, but still I can't get it to work. You guys seem to know so much I would appreciatte some help.
Thanks a lot! |

Thanks for your help. I looked through your suggestions. So far I've only used Nero, Clonecd & Clonyxxl to backup games. According to your post I will need to learn how to use some other programs.
So, are you saying there is no patch or fixed exe that will fix my stuck on loading screen problem? Is that because of the new securom protection? Thanks again..when and if i get time I will try your methods. |

I haven't had time to try the other burning software yet. however, I was wondering has anyone else had the same problem as me? I ask because I'm hoping that there might be some easy work around to me being stuck at the "Loading" screen. I thought i saw a couple of people with the same problem and I was just hoping somebody figured out an easy way to fix it.
Thanks! |

Hi i just thought id offer this infomation for you and others
NOLF2 requires a graphics card that supports T&L (Texture & lighting) my brother had what sounds like a very similar problem as your self and it was nothing to do with his copy of NOLF2 as its from a shop it was to do with his graphics card not supporting T&L (some games allow you to still play them as they let you disable this feature (max payne) but NOLF2 wont. Just a thought!

Coffin-Thanks for your help. However I have a 128MB Geforce4 Ti 4200. So as far as hardware I think I am set. I saw a post out there regarding installed sizes of the 3 rez files and I think my Game2.rez file is corrupt for some reason. My installed file size for that is only 735,552 kb. That might be causing the problem.

I'm going through the same issue. I can never leave the "loading" screen. Same thing happens if I click "test" on the video settings screen. I also received the Game2.rez error on install. If I click 'retry' the game won't install. If I click 'ignore', it installs, but I don't think it installs correctly. When I launch the game, I see the intro from the devs and get to the selection screen. I see the main screen with a crosshair, but everything inside the crosshair is grey. I do see Claire walk out and leave. If I choose "new game" I'm taken to a LOADING screen that never loads.
I KNOW my hardware is OK. I'm running an athy850 with a geforce3 (t&l enabled) and I have 512k mem. My drivers are current. This isn't an issue with my machine. There isn't a game out there that won't run on my machine. I have installed all patches and updated the Lithtech file accordingly. There has to be something else wrong here. Please help out! Thanks. The one thing I forgot to mention is that if I hit ESC, I am able to return to the main menu, but sometimes there is an error stating that "error loading game"
