Question Buying a DVD writer

I am planning to buy a DVD writer (still doubting between Pioneer A05 or Sony dru500a).

Is there any of the 2 or maybe both who are delivered with software like Record Now Max or Prassi PrimoDVD?
Or do I have to buy one of these programs?

THX for the reply.

You need RecordNow Max.

RecordNow doesn't support *.gi file format.

Anyone know what the A04 comes with? I'm hoping NERO. If so , what version?

Nope, no Nero. It comes with:
Sonic MyDVD
Veritas RecordNow DX
Cyberlink PowerDVD XP
Veritas DLA/StorageGuard

I use RecordNow DX for backing up my ps2 games and it works perfectly.
