witch mod chip for me

hi all
plannin on gettin a ps2 and tring to figure out witch chip i should go with. i hear alot of good stuff about this new Messiah 2 chip. i like the fact it boots with no reset button tricks. is this a good chip to go with or are there any other chips better? the ps2 im getin will be new so im assuming its gonna be a newer model.

Yes, the Messaih 2 is the best chip you can get. All other chips are essentially clones of the Messiah or Messiah 2. Go with the Messiah 2. You wont regret it.

Ahh your the one from the xbox forum I persuaded to get a PS2 instead. Good choice.

bighap, I agree with you to a point. I have both a PS2 and a XBox, (working on a Panasonic Q), and I have to say the XBox is better in most ways. Better game graphics, no memory card needed to save games, and no extra hardware needed to link two or more systems together, has a built in hard drive to save new maps for games like Splinter Cell. And a lot easier to install a modchip.

But I also like my PS2, b/c of the games selection, and not have much stuff to get in making a backup, of the game. But on the down side, you have to buy memory cards, buy new hardware to play online, and can’t download new maps for games. And for a good modchip you have 20+ wires to solder.

Just my thoughts on this.

True, but personally I think better games outweight all those factors. No I am not trying to start an argument, just stating my opinion.

I don’t think the PS2 has ‘better’ games, just more of an assortment of games, and that’s its best selling point. Plus people upgrading from a PS1 can still play their PS1 games on a PS2, not many if any other game system has done that.

Like I said I like both, they both have the good points and bad points.
I bought my PS2 b/c of the GTA games, and some of the early Resident Evil games.
And I got my XBox b/c I was so pissed when I learned that Halo was not coming out for PC and for XBox only, I had to get run down to my local game shop and reserve one. Damn it I had been flowing Halo’s progress for two years and I wanted it for my PC.

But if the XBox has the same total amount of games as the PS2, I think it would sell better and be more popular, than the PS2. Over all I do believe the XBox will over come its low amount of games and out sell the PS2. Not saying witch one is better, just stating my views.

i got 3 ps2, 1 xbox

all ps2 are used regulary
my xbox been in cupboard for 2 months

personally i dont play either just my kids and there m8s,occassionally the wife

xbox is more mans toy i wanted it but i just dont get the time, one day i get it out connect it to network then i sure i enjoy few hours online,but i must agree ps2 has such vast range games u cant beat that

how about the gamecube its better then both(so they say gameplay and graphics
doesnt get a metion why no backups so people cant get as many games .so instead we buy ps2

they all great consoles all have there good bad points

at end day in my book ps2 wins the sales market because of its vast array games ,so simple to backup
sony moans about mods without them ps2 would never have been so popular made them so much money
