Cool Warning

Hi guys,
Might as well fill you in anyway......
Here's the kit, Ver7 39003 ps2, with no solder.

Ok, Nice afternoon set up watching donnie darko on region 1 dvd but seein as i don't have a region 1 compatible player my mate brought round dvd region x.

Put the dongle in, and the cd, booted up straight to asking what region. chose region 1, ejected the drive, put in donnie darko....didn't boot. i don't know what version cdx it is but it is an old one. (Should have thought about compatibility but hey!, had other things on the mind!

To cut it short dvd region x messed up the drivers for EVERYTHING,

NOTHING BOOTED, ps1 games, ps2 cd, ps2 dvd, action replay, dvd region x disc, region 2 dvd's or even the magic 2 swap discs. Even took out the no solder (no reason why it would make any difference mind!) and nothing booted.

BE WARNED.

Luckely for me the (Extremly) large company that i bought the version 7 from 2 weeks ago took the machine out of the box, checked the serial numbers, didn't realise the warrenty sticker was missing and gave me a nice new machine
