Securom New!!! Copy Possible Or Not Finally ???

I WANT TO KNOW IF IT S POSSIBLE TO MAKE A GOOD COPY OF A GAME LIKE HITMAN2 BECAUSE IT S SECUROM NEW PROTECTED.

I HAVE CLONECD 4.2 AND CLONY XXL 2.006 BUT THE COPY IS ABLE, THE AUTORUN START, BUT I CAN T START THE GAME.....

Corsair: In the event you can't make a 1:1 copy, do what I do and use Nero's or something like it...copy all files to your HD using windows explorer (or whatever you want), then add the No-CD fix (or patch) to the folder and burn it all.

Then install it and afterwards, rename the file you're fixing so you can keep it, and copy/paste your new file in it's place.

This way, you have a working copy AND you don't need the CD

I've got xxxx's of games like that and I NEED to do it due to the large volume of cd's I handle daily !

thanks but i want to know if it's possible to make a 1:1 copy of a game like Hitman2.

i say that because i m french and the french fixs are out 2 or 3 weeks after the english fixs...

look at the game "Grom" it´s protected with the latest
SecuROM 4.84 !!!

the version 4.83.55 like in hitman v1.01 isn´t the newest protection.

You cannot make a true 1:1 backup of a SecuROM 4.8 or later protected game. There is however the option to dump an image to your HD using Alcohol for example.

I think I have backedup NeverWinterNights (UK version) with the latest copy of clonecd reading subdata channals at 2x on SKC branded 80 min CD-RW (high speed 4x-10X.

I used a Tosh SCSI 1401 DVD hardware version 3 (firmware 1008 to 1009 then region free) to read.

Mirai BP1300P-M (firmware 1.0 to 1.06) to write on the fly. I also a have an Aopen 52X/AKH firmware A64.

The three disks were copied on win2000 service pack 3 partition.

However, My first attempt to install it as admin. failed on the play disk (full install).

Retry on win98 SE partition, all installation fine, however a blue screen was seen when the Tosh SCSI 1401 DVD tried to install the play disk, but windows may have just got stuck on it.

Ejected the disk and placed it into the Aopen 52X/AKH cdrom and the program completed the installation (recommand installation with texture packs).

I then ran the short-cut, the game RAN the introduction, then I clicked the new game and selected the first pre-made character, and load the "prelodge" game and move around the screen into other rooms, touched the cabinet? to bring up the save option and shot a few arrows.

The End

ClonyXXL says no protection but the disks have the mark SONY DADC
