I wouldn't call it a race between Clone CD and CD Mate, rather, Clone CD and Alcohol 120%.
In my opinion, Alcohol is better than Clone CD at the moment as CCD is playing catchup really - CCD has only recently provided emulation, virtual drive (singlular), ability to copy SD 2.8 etc. While Alcohol had this ages ago and can also copy latest Securom.

Remember this is just IMHO - I would plump for Alcohol, but wait until you hear other people's arguements, I'm sure some will disagree.
