driver 2 PAL

I made a backup of this game using clone cd 4101 but the copy did not work!
We could see the intro of the game but once started, the game stopped loading and could of course not be played.
According to http://www.geocities.com/psxcplist/ there is no protection on this game so what could have gone wrong?
I used the clone cd program several times without any problems.

I'm using TDK reflex ultra cdr's of 700 mb with a psx 1.(model number SCPH-7502)
All other backups I made with these cd's worked out fine but this one didn't!

I tried it with cdrwin and a patch which was succesful but the game stopped after the intro and could not be played.

I do have an external mod-chip and tonight a friend of mine is testing it with an internal mod-chip, I hope perhaps with an internal mod it will work...

I ruined about 5 cd's on the game and of course this is really frustrating!

Well ok, I will try this as soon as I have the copy back from my friend!
I will let you know.

Sorry having doubts about the tip you gave me but you have to admit it seems a bit odd to turn a playstation on its side to let it work better...

i think this happend to me too.. it boots all the way to the game menu, like u can view every thing expert after it is loading to play it freezes

this was cuz of my: Rogue Trip (PAL) i tryed to rip it with every burning program there is but had no luck.. but i found out it was because i was using PS-X-Change2 CD witch i bought.. once i got a stealth 7wire modchip it started to work

damn i wasted about 10 cdrs on this game.. i should of gotten the internal chip in the begining

Well I be damned, when I turned the player on its left side the game booted and I could play different levels of it and it even seemed to boot faster this way than it did standing flat on the floor!!!

Thanks for the tip, this is one I will never forget for futur use.
