About £80 - £150
Depends what you want.

Plextor are very good so are Yamaha.
Burnproof is a good thing to go for also wether a writer is clonecd compatible and cdrwin compatible is a good idea to do.

Hi,

The burners sim has mentioned are very good, i have a HP writer and its been bloody brillant, i have had no problems with it at all.

The best thing todo, is have a look around on the net pick 3 or so you would like then get onto the CLONE CD web addy and make sure there included in the supported burners list, then make your final decision from there.

Cheers

To expand on advice given:

US prices will be lower than UK prices. Just get on the web and look up whatever you have in mind. Go to the following sites:

http://www.elby.de/CloneCD/english/ in resoect of CloneCD
http://www.goldenhawk.com in respect of CDRWin

These are the two essential copy programs for PS2 duplication.

Then choose a burner that is compatible with both pieces of software, and DAO+96 is necessary for taking sub-channel information.

I have Yamaha 2100S (SCSI) which matches the criteria (needs a SCSI card). If you choose an EIDE model, place the device on the secondary IDEchannel otherwise you can get buffer underruns and multiple coasters as you fail to provide data from the hard drive to the slower CD burner.

Hope that helps to sort you out

A moot point - not always because the makers are going for cheap components. Go to the Devive Manager Window and look the device up. The underlying device as reported by the firmware should then be looked up in the CDRWin and CloneCD compatibility lists.

As I said before, just go to Device Manager and get the properties for your built in burner. Then look up that model number for CDRWin and CloneCD.

Hi,

I have a Dell system in the office at work and it comes with the LG 8080 Writer. it works fine with clone cd and cdr-win.

Like Charlie has said either check what the writer is from the device manager or ask the guy who is selling it to you.

Cheers
