How to patch VF3tb for a PAL DC?

Hi,

I know that this problem had already been a topic of the forum. But there are many, many VF3tb fans out there living in Europe or owning a PAL Dreamcast. As we all know, Europe has always been neglected (except with Shenmue II) - PAL games mostly with borders and in 50Hz are the common results.

To play VF3tb in 50Hz and with borders, although the speed performance has been optimized, makes my heart feel sick... That is why, I searched the internet for patches and fixes, and found ones. But the matter is, that it is really difficult to apply them.
I have bought the PAL version of VF3tb, and also downloaded the KALISTO release (as Nero-Image). But, how the hell, can I convert this image to a full-working 60Hz Pal game? The Pal Patcher and the NTSC-2-PAL-Patcher were not able to do so, unfortunately. (Btw, many thanks to Megalex, the creator of the Pal Patcher!!! I really admire your work!!!)
I have always been a fan of the VF series for ancient times, let VF3tb not happen to become a bad conversion for PAL consoles.
What I need is, in fact, a clear manual on how to patch the PAL version of VF3tb. I dont know how to rip the original GD-Rom of VF3tb. That is why, it would be much helpful, if you described it for the KALISTO-release being a NRG-file.

With warmest regards
Jacky

I know that this might be a stupid question but how do I extract the 1st_read.bin from my Nero-Image? I tried it with ISOBUSTER but everything I got is a single session, not the specified files I do need.

Please help an unknowledged VF3 addicted.

Sure there is a way...I am PAL too and my VF3 is pefect 60hz...I cant really remember how i did, cause it was like 1.5- 2 years ago,but i can redo the process if u need..About extracting 1st_read from a nrg,u can mount it with Nero Imagedrive or Daemon tools...

By the way,you are lucky having Megalexxx helping you...

Thanks for your advice. Too bad that you have forgotten about how to manipulate VF3tb. But maybe Megalexx is the only one who will get to work...

I have tried to extract the 1st_read.bin with CDmage now, and wow it works.
Megalexx, I will send you the file now.
