Crackers would be able to crack the protection for one game pretty fast, but it's a different matter making a generic unwrapper for that protection.

Whether a generic unwrapper exists or not is a moot point. The bottom line is the protection has been broken and must be revised to try to prevent it from being broken in the future.

Of course, the people at Macrovision already know their stuff can always be broken and therefore change it continuously regardless.
