Whats the best CD-R?

I'm new at this and am going to purchase a CD-R. I would like to know what CD-R is best for copying CDs and what software to use. I'm currently using a Sony140E with CloneCD which has worked well in the past but I can not copy Longest Journey CD-1 now.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

What? Are u going to change ur CDR-W because you can't copy a CD. I think you can do this. Just tell me its copyprotection. Send me a mail for further help. Anyway, there is no best CDR-W. Plextor 1610A is said to be good but they lately have been making false models.
