New to all this. Unsure of how to make copy CD's
Hi there,
I am a new member of the family and am growing fast. I have read articles on the site about copy protection systems and am a little confused. I own a Mitsumi 4802TE writer. I know this machine is compatible with CloneCD. My question is this: Do I need to know what sort of protection system my original disk uses and need to prepare it in a special way or use a specific program to make a backup of it? Or is it just a case of sticking a blank disk in the drive, the orignial in the CD-ROM, load CloneCD and burn i.e. just the same as the way I do an audio CD? Please advise, Mintyman |

Most games can be copied whit clonecd, and its just like you said "blank cd to the drive" - click'n'burn ((><))
Recently released games are better protected. At the time newer version of the safedisc v2 cannot be copied directly to RAWDAO so you have to download a crack for a game. Some one whos english isnt so bad as my writing skills can probably explain more about this.. or read earlier newbeee discussions =) Clony XL is usefull proggy to get information about the protection of your disc. It also shows what options are best to use with each protection for clonecd.

Sorry, but your Mitsumi is nowhere near enough to be 100% Clonecd compatible.

Can you tell me what writers are good enough to copy ANY protection system then? I might sell this one and buy a new one.

Ther is no writer who can everything!!! CdCops protection higher than v1,6 is a big problem (seems to me) but mitsumi 4804, 4805 and 4808 is fully compatibel for the most of it!! But a bit slow!! The most new burnes can do the most, but have a look at clonecd homepage! They know!!
