laser lifetime??

Hi all,

I have a PAL v3 that is about a year old and i am soon to get a messiah 2 installed. I have heard that mods can burnout the laser quicker so can anyone guess how long it would take before i started having troble reading the disc.......i will mostly be using Silvers.

Thanks all

BG is on a distinguished road
There is really no way to tell....

Its not the mod that is "killing" the laser...(Unless you have a NEO chip)

Its the lower reflectivity of the backup discs.....They make the laser work harder to focus on the backup disc.... (aka.. Use GOOD media)

The laser will "eventually" die if your PS2 is modded or not.. Its just like anything else, the more you use it, the quicker it wears out....
