ive just tried to copy need for speed hot pursuit 2 which uses safedisk 2.80.10 according to the protection guide, i have a liteon writer LTR-48125S. the game copys fine and it installs from the copy but when i try to run the game from the copy in any other drive that the one stated i get the "error: corrupted files or registry, please reinstall" any ideas how i can get it to work in other drives ?

try uninstalling it, and reinstalling it from the burnt disk, that might fix it, (could be wrong, i dont have any sd 2.8 games)

i tried it on one of my other pc's but it did the same thing. it only works in my liteon writer and not in any of my cd roms or other writers

The Problem is, that the one to one Copy proberbly does not work. There is no Probem with the registry, it is the Copy Protection. Just test an crack to play, but you have to insert in the CD Drive where from you have installed. Some Games make an Entry in the Registry where from they where installed, other not. They search the CD by every Gamestart....
