I need a little newbie help for neverwinter nights

I have an all totally legal copy of the the game nwn, but lost my instruction book along with the game box, my computer crashed and I no longer have the CD key required to finish installing it and playing it ect ect. I have downloaded a few files from the internet ( fixed exe's), but will those if unzipped and installed correcctly fix the problem, or is there a way short of repurchase that will?
