Problems with clonecd

Hi!
I am using a GCE-8240B to make backups of my PSX games with clonecd (CCD). Crash Bandicoot 3 worked fine, but Resident Evil 2 had problems. When I try to read the original disc, CCD tells me that "Failed to read sector 12,13,14,15" and then it reads until about sector 68000 where it starts getting _a lot_ of failed sectors, and the reading takes forever. What is going on? What could be wrong and how can I correct it?

Cleaning disc?

Is there some way you could try to clean/repair the disc?

Warlock is on a distinguished road
wash the disc in warm soapy water, If that dont work you must copy from a different original.

OK, problem solved!

Hi!

Thanx for your advices. Like you said, the disc was scratched. But I decided to give it one more try before I tried to clean it, so I put it in my CD-ROM instead of my CD-R and then it worked! My CD-ROM seems to be better at reading scratched discs!
