Question about NO-CD Fixes

Do they decrease the quality of the game in any way? I heard that they do, but I don't understand how they could.

Some cracks, like the new gimpsRus nocd for Morrowind Tribunal, do not play the movies anymore because of some difficulties with cracking the movie code. But they are very, very rare, I don't know of more than a couple. Unless the person you talked to was talking about this (and I doubt it), he was just talking bull.
