Simple Magic3 problem.....help
I have just installed a magic3 into my US version 7 ps2.
It will boot: psx backups, psx orig, ps2 orig, and ps2 backups that came from DVD format games that I ripped. I don't have any DVDr's to try, because I don't have a DVD writer. It will not boot any game that came from a blue back (CD format) game. I am pretty sure I got something wrong, but don't know where to start. Please help.

What program are you using to copy your blue-backed (cd based) games?
And also, how are you trying to boot them once copied?

First of all thanks for all your help. I have a neo key in my v5 and I play the cd backups all the time, so I know they are good. I use cdr win to back up all my cd games. I got my chip from modchip.ca.
I ordered 3 of them, and I have put another one in to replace it, and it does the exact same thing. It will play dvd movies, and dvd rips, psx backups and orig. The ONLY thing it will not boot is backups of my ps2 cd format games. I did a very clean 3 hour install, I thought maybe one of my points were wrong, so I put the second of my 3 chips in a buddies ps2, and I am having the exact same problem, wierd huh? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I GOT IT!!!!! CDR win was the link I was looking for. A buddy of mine uses clone cd. I had him bring his games over. All worked great. Even the exact same games.... only one with clone cd worked. Thanks again for all your help. BG.... thanks for the idea.
Looks like I have a lot of backing up to do with clone cd this time.

check out if your writer fully supports RAW DAO-96 from here
if it does, i suggest back up all your games using CloneCD follow tutorials from here

your burner supports RAW DAO-96 burning, so use CloneCD for 1:1 backup copies.
