dvd playback

IŽve just bought a new console and IŽd like to know if thereŽs a way to play dvds without the playback kit. If this is possible, what should I do? My xbox has an xtender, I think. will this dvd-x only allow all region playback or will it play my dvds without the kit?

the first version of DVD X allows you to play all regions. The second versions allows you to play all regions without the dvd kit. So try and find the second version.

You have to search for them on IRC channels with a program like mIRC. Gamecopyworld only has the first version, which only allows you to play multi region dvd's with a dvd kit. As for playing copied dvd's, I dunno. Never tried it.

I downloaded dvdx 2.0, but now I just found out I need to have evox running, is it true? If so, are there any guides on how to use evox? Are there any possibilities it could ruin my console? Do I need a link between the pc and my xbox or can I burn a cd and run it? Thanks, everyone!! Which programs do you have running in your xboxes?

I think you DO need evolutionX running off your HDD. And you have to connect to your PC. With evoX, you can change the path of what plays the dvd. In this case, you change it to dvdX (which needs to be on the HDD).
