image file readers/manipulators
Ok, does anybody know of an app that will read CD ROM image files (i.e. .iso, .nrg, .img) besides isobuster? I'm looking for a utility that will allow me to not only read an image file but allow me to manipulate it also. I would like to be able to add and remove files from the image, then burn the new manipulated image to CD. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas of where I could start to look for such a utility???

CDmage seems cool but I don't see an option that allows me to import files or delete existing files. If this utility has these abilities and I'm just not seeing them, then let me know. Thanks

When will people get it through their thick skulls that a cd image is created in a special format?
You CANNOT add or delete files from an image file. You can however extract all the files from the image to a temp directory and then do whatever you want. However when you then burn this back to cd do not be surprised if any protection data that the original image contained is no longer there. |
