Hitman2 crashing

I got the no-cd patches for hitman2 from gcw and sometimes the game crashes on me. it mostly happens right after i beat a mission.

anyone else having this problem? or anyone have an idea on how to stop the game from crashing? thanks!

maybe something to do with your vid card and your settings. Try messing around with the hitman2.ini and maybe the config.exe. If you're running D3D, and your card can muster OpenGL, then switch it OpenGL.. it's generally a bit more ez going.. if your card can handle it.

-- only crashes I've experianced, other than the first released crack.. were solved by changing from D3D to OpenGL.

What do you mean? the only D3D stuff I see in my hitman2.ini file is this: DrawDll RenderD3D.dll do you mean to change it to this: DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll? Thanks for your help!

Don't rename the files !!!

I Think XERO means, you have to start the CONFIG.EXE of HITMAN2 and cofigurate the game-graphics from D3D to OpenGL.

GLH i think what he was talking about is open the Hitman2.ini file with notepad and in that file is the line "DrawDll RenderD3D.dll" and in the Hitman2 folder there is a file called "RenderD3D.dll". He said to change (i believe) the line in the hitman2.ini file to "OpenGL". Well in the Hitman2 folder there is also a file called "RenderOpenGL.dll". So what I thought he ment was to go into the Hitman2.ini file and change the DrawDll RenderD3D.dll line to DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll. But I don't know i'm not good at this kind of stuff and you might be right.

I spoke to soon

Now about 5 minutes after I start to play, the hitman2.exe file causes a problem and makes me have to close the game. I did everything that Xero said to do above on changing the D3D to OpenGL. Got any suggestions about how to stop the hitman2.exe file from crashing? Thanks. I hope that one day I can get this thing to work...and when I do I will knock on wood before I say anything

I'm using the gimpsRus crack, not a hitch with it.
