copied cds wont work, please help!

I just got a beautiful new dell 1Ghz with all the bells and whistles running windows ME and I need help buring cds. It came with Adaptec CD creator 4 but that just wasted cds, if they had copy protection it would write a little then throw an error message. Now I have Nero, it writes the whole cd, but the autorun on the copied cd doesnt work, and all the exe files give me a "not a valid win32 application" error when I try to open them. I followed the instructions on gamecopyworld.com and still ended up with a worthless cd. my cd burner is a LG CD-RW CED-8080B . I really need some help here, I dont know too much about cd burners cause this is my first. The read drive is a Lite-On LTN483S 48x. My system will copy games like Diablo and Starcraft but I have tried and Failed at Red Alert 2 (both CDs), Delta Force Landwarrior, Delta Force and a few others and its getting kinda expensive so please help.

RA2, Alice, Undying (I think), and some others have safeDisc2 protection. Lots of drives will read to an image file ok, but not many will correctly burn the image to a blank cd. Often you can use a fixed game.exe, but in the case of RA2, the setup.exe is also protected by SD2 (ouch!) therefore it won't install.

You need to find out if your reader/burner is compatible with cloneCD (it writes in dao/raw.) A few plextors and some phillips and HP's will do the job. Sometimes though, you don't really know what the drive actually is because manufacturers use one anothers hardware.

I have heard that Nero and Creator dont work, but could be wrong. I Have Nero but dont use it. I use CloneCD\Clony and they work. Go to CDRINFO.com and get the Clone cd Guide. Its help me out alot. CDRW may be a sony my friend as a dell and his writer is a sony. Good Luck

first of all before you do anything is to get rid of adaptec, never ever ever ever install that ever again. since it was preinstalled i let you off ;-) clean out the registery entries and then install nero. adaptec is a total piece if crap never ever buy it i found this out after buying the worthless thing.
