will magic 2 chip work
does anybody know if the magic 2 chip will work in a V4 30003 (no R) ps2.
i friend of mine can get me a chip for 50euros but he is not sure if it will do my ps2. if this chip does not work with V4 what chip does

Which Magic 2 chip is it that your friend can get.... There is more than one version of the chip....

i am not sure what version magic 2 chip it is but i do know he used one of these chips on a V5 ps2 will it also work on a V4
where is the best place to find out about these chip and how to tell what version they are, and installation guides

v5 MAgic 2 works with BIOS 040 of PS2.
v4 usually has 030 BIOS (you can open your PS2 and have a look). In that case the magic 2 you have is of little use to you.
