game wont work
ok i used to have the original dungeon siege, but it got scratched up beyond recognition. Luckily i had a made a back up. I tried using the back ups to install the game to another computer in my house and when it asks to insert the 2nd cd it doesnt recognize it and wont install the second cd. Does anyone know how to fix this. I've asked numerous places and all i get is stupid remarkes, so please leave those out.

Yeah i got your solution !!! just take all the contents of BOTH CD and copy all of it into One folder !! ]you'll get 2 cd into 1 folder[ then the game will install without asking you anything !!
Enjoy and Play ! _-¯you'll just need to use a NOCD crack !¯-_

ok, first i opened up a new folder. and i put both of the cd's contents into that folder. then i clicked on the install icon from the first cd and once again it started installing got halfway and asked me to insert the second cd. I pressed cancel to get out and it deleted everything it had just installed and i went back to my normal screen.

You have to click on INSTALL.EXE from the folder you have copied the files in !!!
Don't use the CDs to install the game in this way !!!

u must have misunderstood what i wrote. I made the folder then i clicked on the install.exe that was within the folder that the first cd had created. even though the contents of both cd's were in the folder and i used the install.exe within the folder i was still asked to insert cd2

When INSTALL ask you for CD2, can you enter a path to the files?
(I don't have the game!)

no you cant enter in path file, it only says enter in second disk, ok or cancel are your only options. See this little error is pissing me off because i had the same thing happen to me with my spiderman game, but luckily i still have a working good copy or the original cd. but when that goes out i am stuck in the crapper like i am wih this game

make one folder called disc one then another called disc two copy all the files from disc one to the disc one folder then do the same for the other, open the disc one folder and double click the setup/install exe and when it asks for the next disc browse to the location of the disc two folder and the installation should continue fine

Yeah, I had that problem trying to give my brother a copy of the game. If I remember right for some reason the big sound file was corrupted. He ended up bring his pc over and copying the game across the lan. Here's something to try though:
Start installing the game. When it asks for cd 2 END TASK do NOT exit setup Now browse the 2nd cd and copy all the files over to the Dir you made when installing from the 1st cd. I have had success doing this with games in the past. When I buy I game it's a FAMILY purchase! |
