Mech Warrior Vengance Illegal Operation

Hello all..
I am having a problem trying to install my "backup copy" of the Mech Warrior Vengance game. When I click on the setup file all I get is a "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"

Is there anyway to fix this?

get regcleaner and try to clean all the registry keys that your game created during setup....you will do this after you uninstall the game,,,then install it again and try for one more time...
