DVD backups with Ace Key

The instructions for booting up a DVD backup say that an error will occur saying "too many codes..." I don't get this error! The (original DVD) game just starts up!

If I select another game on AR2 V2 and activate 100's of codes, I get the error, but AR2 V2 locks up and I can't return to the main menu!

This is all very frustrating!
